POCKETWORK POLICY
Terms of Service
PocketWork is a service for workplaces that records clock-ins with a QR code and a location check at the moment of clock-in, with no app to install, and manages employees, schedules, leave, overtime and monthly attendance data.
Published: September 28, 2026 · Effective: September 28, 2026
1. Purpose
These Terms set out the conditions for using the service PocketWork (“we” or “us”) provides through pocketwork.org and the PocketWork app (the “Service”), and the rights and obligations of us and our members.
2. About us
- Business name: PocketWork (sole proprietorship)
- Owner: GyeongGwan Nam
- Address: 4F, 26 Hancheon-ro 14-gil, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea
- Email: [email protected] · Phone: +82-10-8174-9337
3. Definitions
- A “member” is a person or organization that creates an account and owns a workplace, or is invited to manage one.
- A “workplace” is a work location, such as a store, office or clinic, that a member registers in the Service.
- An “employee” is a person a member registers, or approves, to use clock-in, schedule and request features. Employees use the Service on the member's instructions.
- An “active employee” is an employee the workplace has not set to inactive.
- “Subscribed seats” means the total number of users a member chooses and subscribes to for a workplace, including the 10 free seats.
- “Workplace data” means information a member enters into the Service or that results from its use, including employee details, work settings, QR codes, clock-in records and location results, leave, overtime and correction requests, and change history.
4. Posting and changing these Terms
We post these Terms in the Service. When we change them, we announce the effective date and the changes at least 7 days in advance, and at least 30 days in advance, both in the Service and by email, for important changes that are unfavorable to members, such as price increases. If you don't agree to a change, you may stop using the Service and cancel before it takes effect. If you continue to use the Service after the effective date, you are deemed to accept the changed Terms.
5. Agreement and accounts
- The agreement is formed when a member accepts these Terms and the Privacy Policy and creates an account. The Service is intended for business use, and a member must be at least 19 years old or authorized to act for the workplace.
- Members must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Even after social sign-in succeeds, workplace permissions are checked separately on our servers.
- Members and employees are responsible for their own accounts, manager passwords, employee PINs and signed-in devices. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
6. Workplaces and manager permissions
A workplace owner can invite other managers, who may use only the permissions they are given. Important actions such as deleting a workplace, inviting or removing managers and changing the plan are reserved for the owner. Members must make sure people without permission cannot access employee information or attendance data.
7. Employee personal data
The member is the controller of its employees' personal data, and we act as a processor that handles that data to provide the features the member chooses. Before registering employee data, the member must have a lawful basis, including any notices and consents required. We process workplace data only as instructed by the member and as needed to provide the Service, and keep it separated from other workplaces' data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
8. Clock-in and location checks
Depending on workplace settings, clock-in checks a fixed or dynamic QR code, the employee's identity, and the device's coordinates, accuracy and distance to the workplace. Location is checked only at the moment an employee taps clock in or clock out, and movement during work is not tracked. GPS, network and device conditions can cause errors or delays, so members should confirm actual working conditions before making important decisions, such as discipline or pay, based only on Service records. See our Location Terms for details.
9. Schedules, leave, overtime and reports
Lateness, absence, working hours, leave, overtime and monthly reports are operational references based on the schedules and policies the member enters, employees' records and managers' approvals. The Service does not automatically determine compliance with tax, social insurance, statutory allowances, minimum wage or labor law. The member remains responsible for final review, payroll calculation, filings and payment.
10. Free use
Each workplace can use the Service free of charge for up to 10 employees, with no time limit and no payment method required. We may change the conditions of free use, but will give 30 days' notice of changes unfavorable to existing members.
11. Paid subscriptions and pricing
- To use more than 10, a member chooses subscribed seats for the workplace and pays, for each seat above 10, the monthly price shown on the Pricing page (currently ₩1,500, tax included). The monthly price is (subscribed seats − 10) × ₩1,500, and each workplace is billed separately.
- The price is based on subscribed seats, not on the number of active employees. Adding, deleting or deactivating employees does not change the subscribed seats or the price; the subscription renews automatically at the same seats until the member changes or cancels it.
- Adding seats charges the prorated price of the extra seats for the rest of the current period immediately; the added seats apply once that payment succeeds. The billing date stays the same and the next renewal bills the new total.
- Removing seats keeps the current seats and price for the rest of the period; the lower seats and price apply from the next billing date. Employees and records are never deleted or deactivated automatically as a result.
- Listed prices include VAT. The final amount is shown at checkout.
12. Reseller and Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles payment processing, tax collection, receipts, payment-related customer service and refund payouts. The Paddle Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase. Card numbers and other payment details are handled by Paddle and are not stored on PocketWork's servers.
13. Automatic renewal
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the interval shown at checkout (monthly by default), and the renewal is charged to your payment method on file. You can see the amount, interval and next payment date at checkout and on your receipts. You can schedule a cancellation anytime before the next payment date to stop the renewal.
14. Price changes
We may change our prices. We will give 30 days' notice of any increase, in the Service and by email, and the new price applies from the first renewal after the notice period. You may cancel before the new price applies.
15. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Paddle retries it for a period and notifies you. If payment still isn't made, the subscription ends and the workplace moves to free use. Activating additional employees may then be restricted, but workplace data is not deleted.
16. Refunds
You can request a refund within 14 days of a payment or renewal. We review the payment and your usage and refund the full amount or the unused period. Duplicate or incorrect charges, and outages we are responsible for, are refunded regardless of timing. Details are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which does not limit any statutory right of withdrawal.
17. Cancellation and data deletion
- Members can cancel a subscription anytime and keep using it until the end of the period already paid for.
- Deleting a workplace erases that workplace's employee, attendance, request and settings data and cannot be undone. You can request account deletion or a copy of your data at [email protected].
- Payment, contract and dispute records that the law requires us to keep are stored separately for the required period.
18. Prohibited conduct
You may not record false clock-ins, use another person's credentials, bypass location, QR or permission checks, attempt to access another workplace's data, introduce malicious code or excessive automated requests, copy, resell or reverse engineer the Service, break the law, or interfere with the operation of the Service.
19. Suspension and termination
If a member seriously breaches these Terms, for example by violating Section 18 or not paying, we may restrict use or terminate the agreement after giving notice and a chance to remedy the breach. Where a security incident or harm to other users is imminent, we may act first and notify you promptly afterward.
20. Changes, maintenance and discontinuation
We may change or maintain the Service for security, legal, incident response or improvement reasons, and will announce significant interruptions in advance where possible. If we discontinue the Service, we will give 30 days' notice, give you the opportunity to download your workplace data, and refund the unused part of any period already paid. Sign-in, payment, maps and weather, push notifications and hosting rely on third-party services, so some features may be delayed or limited by those providers' outages or policies.
21. Data and intellectual property
Rights in workplace data belong to the member or the rightful owner. Rights in PocketWork's software, screens, trademarks and documents belong to us, and you may not copy, distribute or reverse engineer them beyond the permitted use. We may freely use feedback you send us to improve the Service.
22. Limitation of liability
We take reasonable security and reliability measures, but do not guarantee results caused by network failures, GPS errors, third-party outages, natural disasters, or incorrect information entered by members. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for damages is limited to the fees the member paid in the 3 months before the damage occurred. This limit does not apply to damage caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or to liability that cannot be limited by law.
23. Notices
We send notices to the email address on your account or show them in the Service. Notices to all members may be given by posting them in the Service for at least 7 days.
24. Assignment
Members may not transfer their position or rights under this agreement to anyone else without our consent.
25. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. We will first try to resolve any dispute in good faith, and if that fails it will be settled by the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act. Nothing in this section limits consumer rights guaranteed by the law of the country where you live.
26. Contact
For questions about these Terms, payments, accounts or data, contact [email protected] or +82-10-8174-9337.
Addendum
