POCKETWORK POLICY
Account & Data Deletion
How to ask us to delete the account and data you use in the PocketWork app and website. One email is enough; we handle it within 10 days after confirming it is you.
Effective: October 2, 2026
1. Delete an employee app account
- Email [email protected] with the subject “Account deletion request”.
- Include your workplace name, employee name and, if you signed in with Kakao or Naver, which one.
- We confirm it is you and email you the result.
Signing out of the app removes the sign-in from that device right away. Uninstalling the app also removes the data stored on the phone.
2. Delete a workplace (manager) account
- Workplace owners can delete a workplace themselves with Delete on the Workplaces tab of the account page. Employees, attendance records and settings are deleted with it and cannot be restored, so download the records you need first.
- To delete the manager account itself, email [email protected]. Any paid subscription is cancelled first.
3. Data that is deleted
- Employee app account: sign-in links (Kakao/Naver identifiers), device connection and verification data, notification settings
- When a workplace is deleted: workplace details, employees, clock-in and location check records, leave, overtime and correction requests, schedules and change history
4. Data that is kept or kept for a period
- Workplace attendance records: an employee's clock-in and leave records are work records managed by the workplace (the employer). Deleting an employee account does not delete the records the workplace keeps until the workplace deletes them; ask your manager, or tell us and we will pass the request on.
- Payment and contract records: kept separately as required by law (5 years for contract and payment records, 3 years for complaint and dispute records), then deleted.
- Backups: deleted data drops out of backups when the backup retention period ends.
